The only thing that will produce God likeness (behaving like God) is His love. His love will produce kindness in the heart. His love will enable the heart to function the way it was designed to function. His love will heal and enable the heart to be meek and lowly, which in turn will effect the soul, which will produce outward acts of kindness, patience, gentleness, and the ability to controll emotions and fleshly desires.

Jesus laided out the plan for living this life in the spirit in John 15. We are to abide in His love [agape] and He will take care of the rest. This is how Jesus will again take His place as Head of the Church, His rightful position.

1-1-16
Agape is to the heart and soul, as air, food, and water, are to the body. Agape will enable the soul to connect with the spirit realm and choose the spirit life over the natural life. Jesus is a living example of this process. He was made strong in the spirit through agape. His soul was influanced by His Father's love untill He became like His Father, Hebrews 1:3. God is agape, 1 John 4:8,16. We need agape to become like God.

Jesus said in Mark 7:21, "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries,...." In verse 23 of this chapter He finishes with, "All these evil things come from within, and defile the man." Jesus is asked, "Which is the the first commandment of all?" Jesus answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment," Mark 12:30. The Greek word for love is "agape" God's love not man's love. The Greek word for with is "ek" which means out. It should read, out of all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. God wants to pour His love into your heart untill you become rooted and grounded in His love, Ephesians 3:17. This is the abundant life Jesus spoke of in John 10:10.

Gal 5:22

The fruit of the spirit is agape..., against such there is no law. Agape in the believers life will enable the beliver to live like God. Agape comes from God, 1 John 4:7, and will effect the soul untill the beliver becomes like God. We are admonished to be rooted and grounded in agape, Ephesians 3:17. Agape is to be our life sorce and we are to build our life in and on agape. When grounded in agape we will live a life that is irreproachable. Christ already proved what agape will do for the soul. The effect of God's love is all consuming and will enable the beliver to live a righteous life full of God and full of power.

John 3:27
John answered and said, "A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven.”
Everything we have, salvation, speaking in tongues, our life, agape, it is all from out of heaven,  Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from God, Matthew 4:4. It is from out of heaven that life exists and without the spirit we are dead men walking. There is no glory in man.  Jesus’ life came from out of heaven, the glory, the agape, the power, and the authority given Him from the Father. Jesus is a living epistle of the plan of God for man. The life Jesus lived is the life God wanted for Adam and all those who followed. Psalms 18:32, “It is God that grids me with strength and makes my way perfect.” He gets all the glory for our lives. The blind man, Jesus healed said, “If this man were not of God He could do nothing,” John 9:33. Jesus said, “I am the vine…apart from me you can do nothing,” John 15:5. We think like Cain that our fruit is enough for God, when Abel’s sacrifice was accepted. Our own righteousness will never produce the fruit of the Spirit. Only through Jesus will we become prefect, John 15:9. Jesus has the agape and wants to love us until we become like Him who is like the Father, Hebrews 1:3.

Eph 3:17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love
The Greek word dwell means, making a fixed and durable dwelling, rather than dwell in a place temporarily. Christ said I will never leave you nor forsake you. The purpose for Christ dwelling in our hearts this way is so we can become rooted and grounded in agape. We were created to have a heart and life rooted and grounded in the Father's love. This will make us like Him. We are to take on agape until we become agape. This is what Christ did. He became the exact representation of God's very nature, Hebrews 1:3. It’s the work of the devil that we are living our lives totally oblivious to this reality. We have been anesthetized to our need for God’s love. We are unaware of our poor and naked state our own labors for God put us in. Jesus said apart from me you can do nothing, John 15:5. We are lacking the very ingredient that will enable us to live victorious over the enemy of our soul. We have no idea the inroads the enemy has made into our hearts. The fact that we accept this Christianity as normal and the fact that all of us are struggling to live for God and the fact that no one knows the real path to fulfillment shows the depth of the deception we live in.
